Athlete Profile

Test.
Don't Guess.

The profiling system that turns test data into training prescriptions. 48 standardised tests, 4 profiles per year, 6 performance domains.

The System

Data Drives
Everything

Every 8 to 12 weeks, athletes complete a standardised test battery. The tests are not random. They are selected to measure the specific capacities developed in the preceding training blocks. Each test week produces a complete athlete profile across six performance domains.

The profile separates strengths from limiters. Strengths go on maintenance volume in the next block — enough to sustain, not enough to interfere. Limiters get development volume — targeted, progressive, and accountable to the next test.

This is the core of the system. Test, identify, prescribe, retest. The profile is not a report card. It is a prescription. Every number in it tells you what to do next.

Every test is linked to the work completed. If development hasn't occurred, we won't make the same mistake twice.

Test Weeks

Four Checkpoints.
One System.

Test weeks are woven into the program at the end of each block pair. They happen naturally — the training builds toward the test, and the test validates the training. Four times per year, you get a complete picture.

T1
Baseline
June
14 tests
Full battery across all domains. First profile of the training year. Identifies starting strengths and limiters after Building Blocks 1-2.
T2
Development Check
September
12 tests
Measures progress from CF Specific Blocks 3-4. Validates qualifier preparation and adjusts the next block focus based on results.
T3
Mid-Year Review
December
15 tests
Most comprehensive battery. Full progress assessment after 6 months. Three data points create a trend. Drives second half programming.
T4
Annual Review
March
7 tests
Core tests only. Year-over-year comparison against T1. Final profile before the new training year. Data for long-term development planning.
Performance Domains

Six Areas.
Complete Picture.

The athlete profile measures capacity across six domains. Together they cover every quality a competitive athlete needs. No domain is more important than another — the profile shows you where your gaps are.

01

Squat Strength

Back squat, front squat, overhead squat. Tests absolute and relative strength through the legs. The foundation everything else is built on.

1RM back squat, 1RM front squat, max rep 75%, 5RM OHS
02

Pull Strength

Deadlift, strict pull-ups, bent-over rows. Upper body pulling capacity and posterior chain strength under load.

1RM deadlift, max strict pull-ups, 1RM weighted pull-up, max TNG DL
03

Olympic Lifting

Snatch, clean and jerk, complexes. Technical proficiency under load and speed. Where strength meets skill.

1RM snatch, 1RM squat clean, 1RM power C&J, 1RM jerk
04

Gymnastics

HSPUs, muscle-ups, toes-to-bar, pistols. Bodyweight control, skill under fatigue, and gymnastic endurance.

Max RMU + BMU, HSPU incubator, max strict HSPU, HSW skill test
05

Aerobic Capacity

Rowing, running, cycling tests. Energy system development across time domains from 10-second power to 5000m endurance.

5000m run, 1000m row, 10-sec max watt, Mikkos Triangle
06

CF-Specific

Classic competition benchmarks and mixed modal tests. How all capacities combine under competition conditions.

Open 20.3, Open 23.1, Friendly Fran, 100 BFB for time
Profile Visualization

See Your
Progress

This chart shows a sample athlete's profile across all six domains — measured at T1 (baseline in June) and again at T3 (December) after 8 months of structured training. Toggle between test weeks to see the progression. The larger the shape, the more developed the athlete. Where the shape is flat, that is the limiter.

T1 — Baseline (June)
First profile after blocks 1-2. Identifies starting strengths and limiters.
T3 — 8 Months (December)
After targeted development. Limiters addressed, strengths maintained.

Notice how the T1 profile (gold) shows clear weaknesses in gymnastics (42) and CF-specific capacity (50). By T3 (dark), targeted development has brought every domain above 70 — with the biggest gains exactly where the limiters were identified. That is not random. That is the system working.

The Feedback Loop

Test. Prescribe.
Develop. Retest.

The profiling system is not a one-time assessment. It is a continuous feedback loop. Every test week feeds into the next training block. Every training block is validated by the next test week. This is how progress compounds over time.

01

Test

Complete the standardised battery. Same tests, same conditions, same standards. The data is only useful if it is comparable.

02

Identify

The profile reveals your limiters and strengths across all six domains. No guessing, no bias — the numbers tell the truth.

03

Prescribe

The next training block targets your limiters with development volume. Strengths go on maintenance. Every session has a reason.

04

Retest

Validate that development occurred. If it did, move forward. If it didn't, adjust the approach. The system self-corrects.

This loop repeats four times per year. After 12 months, you have four complete profiles. After two years, you have eight. The longer you stay in the system, the more precise the prescriptions become.

Long Term

Accountability Built
Into the System

Progress Is Impossible to Hide

When the same 48 tests repeat annually, the data tells you exactly where you stand. There is no ambiguity. If you are improving, the numbers confirm it. If something is not working, the numbers expose it — and we adjust.

This is not about judgement. It is about information. Better data leads to better decisions. Better decisions lead to faster progress.

Structured vs. Random

This is what separates structured programming from random workouts. A random workout gives you a stimulus. A structured program gives you a stimulus, measures the response, and adjusts the next stimulus accordingly.

Most athletes train hard. Fewer train with direction. The profiling system ensures that every block of training has a measurable goal — and every test week holds you accountable to it.
